Teen Gym

Teen Gym is for students in year 9 – 13 who would like to stay fit, build strength and learn gymnastics skills in a social environment. Gymnasts have the freedom to learn and work on the skills of their choice. Coaches will provide advice on skill progression and technique to help students achieve their goals. Gymnasts in this class have the option of learning skills and routines to compete at the Secondary School Competitions in Term 2 & 3

Adults Gym

Our adults class (18yrs +) is all about fun, fitness and friendship. No experience is required! The class will begin with a gymnastics warm up activity, stretch sequence and a conditioning circuit. The group will then rotate around the bars, beam, floor, rings, pbars, trampoline or vault. You are welcome to stay with the group and participate in guided skill learning or you can work on your own tricks and seek advice when required. There is also an opportunity to learn skills and routines to compete at the New Zealand Masters Games.

Tumbling

This class allows gymnasts to specialise in floor based tumbling skills. Athletes will learn a variety of tumbling skills on the sprung floor, air track, trampoline and mini-trampoline. The session will begin with a warm up game and active stretch. Athletes will then spend time perfecting their basic skills, completing drills for new skills and learning to link tumbling skills together. Strength and power training will also be incorporated into the session to allow athletes to develop more advanced tumbling skills.

Pre-requisites of basic skills are required for this class. If you are unsure of your child’s suitability for this program please contact us for an assessment.
